Feeling Groovy

by Simon & Garfunkel

an American duo who started recording songs in 1957.  They became popular with the younger generation in the 60s. Paul Simon wrote all the songs and Art Garfunkel sang the harmony.  This song was on their 1966 album “Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.”

Slow down, you’re moving too fast
You gotta make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feeling groovy
Ba da da da da da da, feeling groovy

Hello lamppost; what you knowing?
I’ve come to watch your flowers growing
Ain’t you got no rhymes for me?
Doo-it-in-doo doo, feeling groovy
Ba da da da da da da, feeling groovy

I got no deeds to do, no promises to keep
I’m dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morning time drop all its petals on me
Life I love you, all is groovy

Ba da da da da da da …
